1. If you could go back and change one thing about your wedding day, what would it be?
I would make sure I said "hi" and talked to everyone. I tried, but I could have done a better job. It was hard with 325 people there!
2. What advice do you have for other couples getting married?
To not stress out. What will be, will be. I would also say that they should take 10 minutes out of the day, just the 2 of them. No photographers, no people, just 10 minutes to yourself. It will help you realize the reason you're there and to just get away from everything. It was just him and I, and it was really nice. I would also say, for practical brides, go with the silk flowers. They're fake, but I had them in my bouquet and they still looked beautiful, and I saved thousands of dollars.
3. What is one thing you wish you had known before you got married?
How fast it goes by! I've heard people say it . . .I didn't think about it, though. But it really does! I woke up the next day and was like 'Wow . . .that was such a blur!'
4. Was there anything unexpected or surprising that happened on your wedding day?
*laughs* One of our kegs didn't get brought out, which wasn't a huge deal. It rained in the morning, but we kind of expected that.
5. What was the highlight of your special day?
Seeing Keith for the first time. I didn't see him from Tuesday to Friday of our wedding week because he was back home, so it was really good to see him again. And also just looking out and seeing all the people that were there to support us in our journey together. It was humbling and overwhelming at the same time.
6. Anything else you would like to add?
We had a surprise break dance that we had choreographed. So we started off dancing to a slow song and then burst into 4 other fast songs. It went really well for only practicing it twice! It really set the tone for the night. It was definitely my idea, and I think it surprised people at first, but then not so much because that's just who we are.
